Chapter 6
Emma remained in Jackâs private quarters for two more days before stir-craziness set in. Sheâd promised to remain below deck during storms, but sheâd made no vows regarding hiding herself away during sunshine.
After lazing in bed for longer than her mother would ever deem proper, Emma rose and got dressed. She smiled as she recalled exactly why sheâd felt the need for the extra rest.
Jack had been insatiable the previous night, his desire for her driving him to new heights. Heâd bid her to get on her hands and knees and taken her from behind. Sheâd felt scandalous at the time, but the second he put his huge cock inside her, Emma knew sheâd discovered paradise.
Checking her appearance in the mirror above Jackâs dresser, she deemed herself decent enough to leave the room.
During the course of her captivity, sheâd met many of the other pirates on the ship, taking most meals with the captain and his men in the galley. Sheâd always been raised to believe pirates were the worst sort of villainsâthieves and rapists and murderers.
However, her time aboard Jackâs ship had changed that notion. The men under Jackâs command had been courteous, treating her with more respect than the most cultured gentlemen in her motherâs ballroom.
Stepping onto the deck, she sighed as the bright, glorious sunshine warmed her skin and the fresh air filled her lungs.
Glancing around, she saw Jack at the far end of the stern, deep in conversation with his first mate. He didnât notice her and she certainly didnât feel compelled to draw his attention in her direction. She was on deck for the first time since being taken captive. She intended to enjoy herself.
Walking in the opposite direction, she found a quiet spot by the railing and allowed herself a few moments of quiet contemplation as she studied the water and the sky.
Sheâd always loved being at sea, though her father tried numerous times to temper that desire.
Fortunately for her, sheâd long ago learned how to get her way when it came to her father. Her mother accused her of being a daddyâs girl and Emma didnât bother to deny it. Sometimes she thought her mother was jealous of Emmaâs ability to manipulate the man.
A noise distracted her from her thoughts, and she turned to her left to see a man sheâd yet to meet.
âOh, pardon me, miss,â the sailor said, after almost bumping into her. He was carrying a large bucket that looked heavy. âDidnât see you there.â
She smiled pleasantly. âPardon me.â When the man continued to look at her, she gestured toward the direction heâd been walking. âPlease, donât let me keep you from your work. Iâm fine here.â
The sailor looked uneasy. âEr, do the captain know youâre here, miss?â
She gave the man a haughty look that had intimidated the most pressing of suitors. âMy daily activities are no concern of the captainâs. I come and go as I please.â
âIs that right?â
Jackâs voice, coming from behind, startled her.
She turned to see her arrogant, handsome pirate standing over her, his arms akimbo.
